The HS2P-10 platform

Bone is living tissue.
Our science starts there.

Healthy bone depends on more than minerals. Its collagen framework, mineral content and biological signals work together.

HS2P-10 is a 10-amino-acid peptide originating from Chinese yam research at HKU. We are investigating how it engages the nerve–bone axis: the communication between sensory nerves, the brain and bone that helps regulate bone formation and remodelling.

Investigating type I collagen production and bone matrix formation—the structural framework within bone.

Studying calcium phosphate deposition and mineralisation alongside the organic bone matrix.

Connect the signals

Exploring neuro-osteogenic signalling and its role in balancing bone formation and resorption.

Research stage: findings to date are from preclinical studies. Clinical safety and efficacy remain to be established.

A plant-derived peptide supplement programme designed for daily skeletal maintenance. Our focus is a convenient oral formulation informed by research into both the mineral and collagen components of bone.

An oral approach
to osteoporosis.

HS2P-10-Ca therapeutic candidate

An oral candidate combining the neuro-osteogenic peptide with low-dose calcium, being developed for osteopenia and osteoporosis.

DEVELOPMENT FOCUS

IRB approval covers the treatment trial and sample-collection study. Clinical trial preparation is under way, alongside formulation and translational development.

Injectable HS2P-10 hydrogel

A planned localised peptide delivery approach for fracture healing, bone regeneration and orthopaedic rehabilitation.

Therapeutic programmes are investigational and are not approved treatments. The supplement programme is distinct from the therapeutic candidates.

Our technology originates from the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the University of Hong Kong. We bring together expertise in orthopaedic biomaterials, bioactive peptides and neural regulation of bone regeneration.

Our next chapter centres on product validation, GMP manufacturing scale-up, regulatory development and clinical translation—starting in Hong Kong, with international partnerships in view.
